After creating a radically new lifestyle based on wellness in his mid 20′s and seeing amazing changes, Dr. Maki became inspired to base his career path on helping others reclaim their health and purpose in life.

Dr. Maki received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the College of St. Scholastica, and a Doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in 2003. Dr. Maki is board certified and state licensed in California to practice medicine.

Dr. Maki maintains his private practice in San Francisco, CA, which is focused on weight loss and other hormonal problems such as diabetes and thyroid issues. In addition to his practice, Dr. Maki is a faculty member at Hawthorn University. Prior to his transition to the bay area, Dr. Maki served as the Director of Nutrition at Lifespan Medicine in Santa Monica, CA, where he had the privilege to work with many amazing people from the entertainment industry.
