Angle Touch Therapies offers a variety of therapies that can dissolve that which prevents a balance of mind, body, and spirit.

Just a bit of information about myself. I was a flight attendant for over 33 years and had wonderful experiences of flying all over Europe. I was always doing mini massages on my flying partners as we winged our way to international destinations.

In 1999, I became a Reiki Master Teacher and just worked friends, family and myself. I always wanted to do more hands on bodywork and was given that opportunity in 2003 when I became a licensed massage therapist. Towards the end of massage school, I was introduced to Young Living essential oils. Wow!! I was totally amazed at how YL’s essential oils were so different than those bought in my local health food store.

Since graduating, I have specalized in CranioSacral and aromatherapy massage. All my massages or CranioSacral include Young Living’s essential oils and I am constantly amazed at the results my clients experience.

They asked more than 800 people between the ages of 45 and 74 about the quality of their sleep. Three years later, the people who reported snoring loudly were more than twice as likely to have metabolic syndrome — a cluster of risk factors for heart disease, diabetes, and stroke that includes high blood pressure, high blood sugar, low “good” cholesterol, high triglycerides, and excess belly fat.

Overall, 14 percent of the study participants developed metabolic syndrome. African Americans were more susceptible than whites, as were sedentary people.

The findings, which appear in the journal Sleep is said to be the first study to follow people with sleep problems over time to see if they develop metabolic syndrome.

Virend Somers, M.D., a professor of medicine at the Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minnesota, says that sleep deprivation is an “epidemic” that is “almost in parallel” with the obesity epidemic and the widespread rise of risk factors for heart disease and diabetes.

Hormoz Ashtyani, M.D., medical director of the Institute for Sleep-Wake Disorders at Hackensack University Medical Center, in New Jersey, says that doctors should begin asking patients about their sleep quality in order to gauge their risk for heart disease and diabetes.

Researchers at Harvard Medical School evaluated the life expectancy and quality of life of roughly 150 patients with terminal lung cancers. Patients were asked questions about their mood and their quality of life at the start of the study and again after 12 weeks of treatments.

Patients receiving palliative care, which focuses on treating pain, anxiety and loss of appetite, reported a 50% lower rate of depression than non-palliative patients. They also lived an average of 2.5 months longer. The study appears in the the New England Journal of Medicine.

Death an dying is not something people want to talk about. Even when loved ones have spelled out their wishes we often subject them to unnecessary medical treatment that does little good.

Wouldn’t you rather have a few more months with a loved one who was lucid and living a quality life to their last day. Consider these options and talk to your family members about them.
