edit: I see how the critic found a &quot;wicked vitality&quot;.  I&#039;m a fantasy-freak so I can&#039;t help but connect the duke with a vampire.  Sort of kingly and commanding with what I imagine would be secrecy.  Some people fall for the dark and mysterious type...?  That&#039;s all I can come up with.
